In order to carry out a top quality water control, the appropriate infrastructures have been designed, taking into consideration the topography, the hydrological characteristics of the area, the exploitation needs and the rain water collection. The drainage system aims to lead the excess of rainwater through the correct channels, so the surface waters are not polluted by the materials swept by the water erosive action. Waters coming from the quarry, such as those used in the washing process as well as the rain waters collected by the exploitation ditch system, after going through the sedimentation tank, are redirected to the washing waters closed circuit The muds coming from the washing productive process are treated through the filter press and sent to secured deposits. The already exploited areas are restored and reforested with the surrounding flora. |
